Nabard Project Panna

In the year 2016-17, 18 Farmers Clubs were formed by the Jagriti Yuva Manch Committee in collaboration with Nabard in the development block Shahnagar of Panna district and in the year 2017-18, 21 village 21 farmers clubs were formed by the institution again. 478 farmers have been added by the organization to 39 villages, in which one meeting of every club is held every month, club members in every meeting Saves up to Rs. 10 to Rs. 20, accounts of all clubs have been opened in Shantnagar Bank. From time to time, training and guidance is given by the organization to farmers clubs about organic farming, paddy production from Srividhi, desi manure, fertilizers and animal husbandry.

Work done by the institution for farmers - (Block-Shahnagar)

• Soil testing of 24 farmers of 10 villages was conducted from the Department of Agriculture.
• Deep plowing of 12 farmers of 5 villages was done under the Agriculture Department.
• By 8 farmers from 2 villages with S.R.I. method, the planting was done.
• Through various programs of the institution Under the scheme N.R.S.S. wells were constructed by 143 farmers from 82 villages.
• Through the NABARD Farmers Club, 482 farmers of 40 villages were informed about desi manure, fertilizer and the benefits of animal husbandry.

Farmers were supported

• Through the meetings, discussions are made about the problems of farmers from farming, as well as information about the schemes being run by the Agriculture Department and Horticulture Department.
• 110 farmers were assisted in getting KCC from the bank to meet their needs.
• Similarly, information was given by the Department of Agriculture as per the pump agricultural machinery eligibility.
• 223 women were provided free vegetable seeds from horticulture department for kitchen garden under Shahnagar block.
