Experience of effective VHSNC meeting through PLA

Participation of all members in ad hoc committee meeting is ensured.
In the ad hoc committee meeting, along with other major problems of the village, attention is also being given to health related problems and all those services are being benefited to the deprived communities of the village.
Strategies and controls for use on local resources are being discussed.
236 health workers in Gunour block and 151 health workers in Shahnagar block have been linked to ad hoc committees. Out of which 01 Health Sakhi from Shahnagar Block has been selected as the post of Asha Karkarta (Village Baghwar Khurd), along with Health Sakhis of Village Takhori, Siharan has been made the Chairman of Ad Hoc Committee. Similarly from Village Khalpura from Gunour Block Health Sakhi Preeti Rackwar has been selected to the post of Anganwadi worker, along with Health Sakhis of village Barhakal, Sahupura, Tidunhai, have been made the chairman of the ad hoc committee.
Ad-hoc Committee Health related problems of the village such as vaccination of children, teenager, pregnant, midwife, checking of women and making them aware of all government schemes and how their benefits are available to the community, where it is available.
In addition to the above works, the work of monitoring and controlling the employees posted at the village level is also being done.
Payment of PLA meetings in the project area through ad hoc committees, payment of hope and health care is being made continuously.

Coordination Meeting Held with NHM at District

Program Learning

Inspired by the meetings, awareness of their health has increased among pregnant, female and adolescent girls in the village.
There has also been an increase in the understanding of the women of the community on where and how to get their health facilities.
In the present time, collective efforts are being made to solve various problems in the village.
A lot of such conservative beliefs at the community level through meetings such as offering or throwing the mother's first yellow thick milk to God immediately after birth, bathing the mother and baby immediately, sleeping the mother out of the house, immediately after birth Lick the baby honey, not to get first aid in case of any kind of problems, to get it to sweep, etc. to abandon the bad habits and get breastfeeding soon, and any kind of Msya is on increased awareness of the health center.
In the meetings, the community understood the importance of home visitation work, after which understanding the importance of family and community support, the ASHA worker has started getting.
Discussion of all the public welfare national programs being run by the government is continuously being held in the meetings and their understanding has also increased.
There has been a lot of change in the thinking of the elderly women of the community as well as the old thinking towards maternal health.
